To report a missed trash pickup, contact Constable Sanitation at 816-535-2020. Please report missed pickups as early as 7 p.m. on your trash day or by noon the following day to ensure your trash service issue can be resolved as quickly as possible.
Reminder: All cardboard MUST be broken down flat. Do not leave styrofoam in with cardboard - styrofoam cannot be recycled curbside. Paper towels, napkins and soft plastics (bags/wraps) are not recyclable. Pizza boxes are not recyclable (grease contamination). Takeout containers and plastic produce containers are not recyclable in the KC metro area.
WHAT CAN BE RECYCLED? Newspaper, magazines, mail, aluminum and metal cans, cardboard and chipboard, plastic bottles, jugs, jars and NEW! plastic to-go cups (#1 and #5) and paper coffee cups. Straws, lids and stirrers are not recyclable and should be thrown in the trash.
Constable Sanitation's residential trash service holiday schedule for 2026:
Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7: No trash/recycling/yard waste service. All routes will be picked up one day late this week.
Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 26: Trash/recycling/yard waste will be delayed for Thursday and Friday pick up dates only.
Christmas Day, Friday, Dec 25: Trash/recycle/yard waste will be delayed one day for Friday pick up only.
Constable Sanitation is Raymore's citywide residential trash service provider.
Constable Sanitation offers a trash and yard waste rate of $16.06 per month, per residence. Recycling service is available for an additional $5.93 per month, per residence. Residents may opt out of recycling service by contacting City Hall. There is a monthly charge of $1.50 included in the solid waste fee to pay for the carts purchased by the City.
PRICE BREAKDOWN: The fee for solid waste and carts could vary depending on whether residents decide to continue recycling and how many carts a resident requests. The following could be reflected on a resident’s monthly utility bill if a resident chooses:
Trash Only (one or two trash carts) $17.56
Trash & Recycling (one cart for each) $23.49
By default, each residence is automatically enrolled in the recycling program. If you do not wish to recycle, contact Constable Sanitation at 816-535-2020 to opt out of the recycling program or email utilities@Raymore.com with your address and phone number.

Residents can place one bulky item at the curb on the first trash day of each month for free. Additional bulky items can be scheduled for pickup for a fee through Constable Sanitation. Sectional couches will no longer be allowed for a free bulk pickup. If you are setting an item out that contains glass, it must be broken and placed into a container that the glass will not poke through. Contact Constable Sanitation directly at 816-535-2020 to schedule a prepaid pickup for sectional couches.
The City of Raymore hosts an electronic waste recycle each June on the first Saturday of the month, and generally again on the first Saturday in November. Check our calendar for upcoming events. You do not need to be a Raymore resident to participate. Most items are accepted for free. There is a charge for the following items: CRT Monitor - $5; CRT TV or Projection TV - $30; LCD TV - $20.
Acceptable payment methods include Visa, MasterCard, check, cash or money order.
ACCEPTED YEAR ROUND: Electronics can contain lead, mercury and other chemicals and hazardous wastes. These wastes can hurt the environment and endanger public health. Keep electronics out of the landfill but recycling them. Most consumer electronics (computers, cell phones, etc.0 are accepted at Best Buy, Office Depot & Office Max and Staples. Televisions are accepted ONLY at Best Buy and Midwest Recycling Center (MRC) at 2000 E. 19th St., Kansas City, Missouri. MRC also accepts anything that runs on a cord or battery, including small appliances. Learn more at www.recyclespot.org.
Every October, an electronic waste recycle event is held in Harrisonville through a partnership of the Cass County Sustainability Committee, The Family Center and Meredith Recycling, Montrose, Missouri.
When you recycle electronics, valuable materials like metals, plastics and glass are extracted and used for new products.
Constable Sanitation will observe the following holidays IF THEY FALL ON A WEEK DAY: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day. If your trash day falls on one of the holidays or after, it will be delayed by one day that week.
Holidays that fall on Saturdays or Sundays will not affect the trash pickup schedule.
Household hazardous waste (HHW) absolutely cannot be disposed of with your regular trash.

Raymore is a participating community of the Regional HHW Collection Program, which provides Raymore residents with convenient access to proper HHW disposal.
You can take HHW products to the permanent collection facilities in Lee's Summit (2101 SE Hamblen Rd, call for appointment 816-550-1612) and Kansas City, MO (4707 Deramus, just south of the Chouteau Bridge in the east river bottoms, 816-513-8400), free of charge and you may also attend ANY of the mobile collections held throughout the year. ID and proof of residency is required.
HHW includes automotive products, antifreeze, fluorescent light bulbs, fertilizers, flammables, fuels, hazardous cleaners, household cleaners, paint, lawn and garden products, pool chemicals, used, oil, etc.

Because Constable Sanitation crews primarily use the automatic loading trucks, trash will need to be placed in the trash cart. Additionally, Constable recognizes that residents may have some weeks where solid waste may not fit in the cart (such as the holidays, for example). Because of this, residents will be allowed to place up to four additional bags outside of their regular carts at any time for pick up.
Yard waste will continue to be unlimited and can be placed at the curb year-round. The same yard waste rules apply (only grass clippings, leaves, vines, hedges, and shrub trimmings, tree trimmings and tree limbs). Yard waste should either be placed in a biodegradable sack or limbs in bundles not to exceed 3' in length and 18" in diameter.
