The Development Services Department guides and manages the growth of the City of Raymore by coordinating planning, zoning, building inspections, and code enforcement activities to ensure safe, high-quality, and sustainable development.

Department Responsibilities:

Implementing and maintaining Raymore Blueprint 2045, the City’s comprehensive plan for long-range growth and community development.

  • Administering and updating the Unified Development Code to ensure consistent and efficient land use regulation.
  • Reviewing and coordinating development proposals, including zoning requests, site plans, and subdivision plats, to promote orderly and compatible growth.
  • Enforcing adopted building construction, property maintenance, and zoning codes to protect public health, safety, and community appearance.
  • Overseeing the City’s Geographic Information System (GIS) and spatial data programs to support planning, mapping, and decision-making.

Through collaboration with residents, developers, and other city departments, Development Services ensures Raymore’s built environment reflects the community’s goals for growth and development, in accordance with the Raymore Blueprint 2045 Comprehensive Plan.
