The Office of the City Clerk is the oldest among public servants and serves as the professional link between citizens and local government. The City Clerk strives to maintain transparency and knowledge of City affairs. Staff participates in ongoing education programs and seminars and is active in City Clerk professional organizations through the International level. The City Clerk’s Office maintains public records and requests, the Raymore City Charter and Municipal Code, City Council meeting materials and minutes, occupational, liquor and fireworks stand licensing, Neighborhood Vehicle permits, board and commission volunteer information and Municipal Election information.
Other services provided by the City Clerk's office include providing notary services, administering oaths of office for elected officials and sworn employees, coordinating education and travel arrangements for the Mayor and City Council and completing day to day administrative duties.

The Code compiles the most recent regulations adopted by the City. Following adoption by the City Council, ordinances of a general and permanent nature are codified into the Municipal Code. Codification is completed twice a year. This code guides how Raymore is governed and is updated as the city grows and changes.
