Since its creation in 2015, the Raymore Arts Commission has worked to bring residents opportunities to engage in art.

The Arts Commission oversees a number of arts initiatives including:

  • Raymore City Hall Council Chamber Gallery. Display and sell your original art in the Chamber Gallery. Contact us at arts@raymore.com to learn more.
  • Power of Perspectives Art Competition. Participate in this annual competition and awards reception at Centerview. Save the date for April 16, 2027! Visit raymore.com/pop for all the details. 
  • Concerts at Hawk Ridge Park Amphitheater on the second Friday night of the month, June through October (free admission, bring your own drinks, snacks, chair/blanket).
  • Hosting the 50+ piece band Sounds of South Kansas City Community Band for two concerts each summer at the Centerview event space.
  • Public art. The commission hosts permanent and rotating public art in Raymore parks & public spaces.
  • Station Stop Art Party. This hands-on art festival for children is hosted annually from 9 a.m.-noon on the first Saturday of August at T.B. Hanna Station, 214 S Washington St.
  • Raymore Chili Cook-Off. This event returns for year two on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026!
