Pet Licensing

  • The City no longer requires city pet licenses, however it is absolutely necessary that your pet's rabies vaccination is up-to-date. Pets should receive a rabies vaccination and certificate from your veterinarian on an annual basis.

Lost & Found Pets

If you have lost your pet, please contact Raymore Animal Control at 816-892-3053. If there is no answer, please leave a message with your name, address, phone number, and a description of the pet.

If you see a stray animal running at large in the city limits of Raymore, please immediately contact Police Dispatch at 816-331-0530. Raymore Animal Control only responds to stray animals and calls for service within Raymore city limits. If the animal is found outside of city limits, it must be reported to the local law enforcement agency in that area. We are unable to accept animals from outside our jurisdiction.

Rehoming and/or Financial Assistance

There may be many reasons to surrender a pet and making the decision to rehome a pet can be difficult. Given our limited kennel space, we are unable to accept owner-surrendered animals. However, we have created a list of resources that may be able to help.
