Gentle Yoga

Looking for a way to stretch, relax, and tone? Our Gentle Yoga class allows time to breathe and stretch the stress away. Traditional yoga poses are used to build a class that is appropriate for all fitness levels.  Bring your own yoga mat. Instructor: Melisa Ferrari

Session 1: 1/20-2/24

Session 2: 3/3- 4/7

Fee: $30/session or $7 drop-in

Time/Location: 5:30- 6:30 p.m., Tuesdays at the Raymore Activity Center, 1011 S. Madison St.

Zumba

This Latin inspired dance fitness class incorporates international music and dance movements to create a dynamic, exciting and effective fitness program. Zumba uses an aerobic fitness approach to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle- toning benefits. Instructors: Melisa Ferrari and Kahla Harding

Session 1: 1/17- 2/21

Session 2: 2/28-4/4

Fee: $30/session or $7 drop-in

Square Dancing Lessons

Learn mainstream level square dancing that will enable you to dance worldwide in this 16-week course. No experience necessary. Open to singles and couples of all ages. Square dancing is a highly social activity that offers great fitness and exercise benefits. During each lesson you will square up with 7 other people making a square of 8 people. Lessons begin on Week 1 and each week the lessons build upon the previous lesson so it is important to attend each lesson.

Co-sponsored by the Live Wires Square Dance Club. Experienced dancers (Angels) will assist at all lessons. At the end of the 16 weeks, you will receive a certificate stating you are a Mainstream Square Dancer and are then able to join a square dance club to continue with your journey. This session, there will be workshops offered as well to keep your skill sharp! Taught by Dana Schirmer, a nationally known accredited caller with over 40 years experience.
