Overview
The Park Board exists for the purpose of overseeing the improvement, care, and control of the City's parks and recreation facilities and expenditure of revenues credited to the City Park Maintenance Fund.
Park Board members are appointed by the Mayor and serve three-year terms.

Tree Board
The City Tree Board is a sub-committee of the Parks and Recreation Board, consisting of three or more members of the Park Board and two City representatives, a member of the Parks & Recreation Department appointed by the Parks & Recreation Director and a City staff member designated by the City Manager. Parks and Recreation Board members selected to serve on the City Tree Board will be appointed by the Parks and Recreation Board Chair at the first meeting of the calendar year and serve a one-year term.
