Annual Art Competition & Celebration hosted by the Raymore Arts Commission

Thank you to all who attended the third annual Power of Perspectives exhibit and awards reception  on Friday, April 17!

Everyone is invited to join us for the second annual Power of Perspective art exhibit and awards reception on Friday, April 17, 2026, 6-8 p.m. at Centerview, 227 Municipal Circle in Raymore, MO.

Complimentary refreshments will be provided, as well as a cash bar. The presentation of awards will be at 7 p.m.

Entry deadline: 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, April 8.

Entry fee: $10 per entry, 3 entries for $25 (maximum of 3 entries)

Eligibility: No residency or age requirements this year!

Art drop-off is from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at Centerview, 227 Municipal Circle, Raymore, MO. Artists may take their art back after the awards are presented at the April 17 awards reception.

OPTIONAL: Art that places and receives honorable mentions will be displayed at the Raymore City Hall Council Chambers immediately following the reception through the month of May 2026 (if art work is available).

Awards will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category and a People's Choice award selected from all entries.

$100 for 1st place in each category

$50 for 2nd place in each category

$25 for 3rd place in each category

People's Choice Award (vote for your favorite overall work of art by 6:40!)

  • Painting - watercolor, oil, acrylic, tempera (paintings must be created in physical media - no digital paintings)

  • Drawing - pencil, graphite, pen/ink, pastel, markers

  • Photography

  • Mixed media/Sculpture/Other

NO AI-GENERATED ART SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

  1. All entries must be equipped with hanging wire unless they are a 3D work of art.

  2. Art that was entered in previous Power of Perspectives competitions may not be resubmitted in this year's competition..

  3. Entries must be 8" x 10" minimum.

  4. Entries must have family friendly content.

  5. Entries must not endorse a political candidate or group.

  6. Entries must be your original work and not a copy of anyone else's copyrighted material.

  7. No AI-generated art submissions allowed.

  8. The Raymore Arts Commission reserves the right to refuse entries based on failure to meet art requirements, inappropriate content and/or concerns regarding copyright infringement.

About the Raymore Arts Commission

Since its creation in 2015, the Raymore Arts Commission has strived to bring artistic opportunities in a variety of ways to citizens of Raymore. The commission oversees concerts at the amphitheater at Hawk Ridge Park, a rotating display of public art around the city and the gallery inside City Council Chambers. Power of Perspectives is one of the newest events that the Raymore Arts Commission has introduced and is poised to prompt unity in the community through art.
