The City of Raymore Arts Commission invites entries for the 2018 Raymore City Council Chamber Arts Exhibit.


Artists from Raymore and surrounding communities, ages 18 and older are eligible to submit work. Emerging and career artists are encouraged to apply.

Exhibit Requirements

Each exhibit must have at least five pieces. See the space diagram on the Exhibit Application for information regarding layout and size accommodations. Artists may join together to fill an exhibit or the City may combine exhibits to fill the space.

Exhibit Promotion

The City will promote the the exhibit on its website, social media channels, and through its e-newsletters.

Review Criteria

The submissions will be reviewed and selected by the Raymore Arts Commission’s Public Art Committee. The selection criteria include assessment of originality, craftsmanship, and appropriateness for the venue, as well as a review of the supporting documentation.


All purchase inquiries will be directed to the exhibitor, however the City should be notified of sales so a “sold” notification can be placed on the art. The City of Raymore does not take a percentage of sales; however, artists may choose to donate a percentage of sales to the Raymore Arts Commission for future programming.

Exhibit Agreement

Artists are required to provide a signed Exhibit Agreement Form at the delivery of artwork. Permission to photograph artwork is considered granted unless otherwise stated in writing. The City of Raymore is not liable for theft or damage to artwork.

Submission of Work

Complete the Exhibit Application and one page biography about the artist and his or her work. In addition, submit photographs of the work that would be displayed as part of the exhibit. Each exhibit must contain at least five pieces of art. Submissions can be made via hard copy or electronically.
