RAYMORE, MO (July 14, 2026) –Kurzweil Road will be closed to through traffic starting July 20, 2026, as the first phase of work begins on a complete reconstruction from 58 Highway to 155th Street.

The project adds new pavement, stormwater drainage improvements, new culvert boxes and roadway safety improvements to the roadway.

During construction, there will be various detours and closures as construction crews work to replace several culvert boxes. Local access will be maintained for residents who live along Kurzweil.

As part of Phase 1, Kurzweil Road will be closed between 501 and 601 Kurzweil. Residents from 601 Kurzweil Road and all addresses north of the closure will continue to have access to the north and will be able to use Gore Road and 155th Street. Residents at 201 Kurzweil and 11 E. Walnut St. will continue to have access to 58 Highway and will not be able to travel north on Kurzweil.
