Post Date:04/22/2026 8:42 AM

RAYMORE, MO – The City of Raymore is participating in SevenDays® of Kindness April 20-28, 2026. 2026-secendays-kelly-murphy-turnbow

SevenDays® encourages people to overcome hate by promoting kindness and understanding through education and dialogue. The initiative was created after a white supremacist murdered Bill Corporon, his grandson Reat Underwood and Terri LaManno at Jewish sites across Overland Park on April 13, 2014.

SevenDays® Executive Director Kelly Murphy was present at the March 9 City Council meeting where Mayor Turnbow read a proclamation making April 20-28 SevenDays® of Kindness in Raymore.

Themes for focusing on kindness each day include: love, discover, others, connect, you, go and onward.
