RAYMORE, MO – The Missouri Arts Council has awarded the Raymore Arts Commission an Express Touring Grant in the amount of $1,200 to support the second annual Power of Perspectives Art Competition exhibit and
awards reception April 25, 2025.
The grant will be used to provide live entertainment by the Ryan Marquez Jazz Trio, enhancing the event’s celebration of area talent and creativity.
“We are grateful for the support of the Missouri Arts Council in helping us elevate this year’s Power of Perspectives awards reception with live entertainment,” Raymore Arts Commission Chair Bob Berry said. “This grant allows us to create an even more memorable experience for our artists and guests.”
Members of the public are invited to attend the event from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 25, at the Centerview event space at 227 Municipal Circle. In addition to live music, the reception will feature an exhibit of all of the works of art entered in the competition, a presentation of awards, complimentary refreshments and a cash bar.
Artists interested in entering art in the competition are encouraged to apply before the deadline on 5 p.m., Monday, April 14. Visit www.raymore.com/pop for details and art requirements. There is no residency requirement to participate.

ABOUT THE COMMISSION Now in its tenth year, the Raymore Arts Commission strives to bring artistic opportunities in a variety of ways to the citizens of Raymore. In addition to the art competition, the commission coordinates permanent and temporary public art in Raymore, a concert series at the Hawk Ridge Park amphitheater every second friday of the month from June to October, a sponsorship of the Sounds of South Kansas City Community Band, an annual Holiday Sing Along in December. New in 2025, the commission will host a children’s art event in August and a chili cook-off in October.
