DAVID GRESS NAMED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
RAYMORE, MO – City Manager Jim Feuerborn announced this week that David Gress will be Raymore’s new economic development director.
“I know David will do wonderful things for this City,” Feuerborn said. “He brings a new, fresh skill set to this position and the quality of his work is impeccable.”
Gress has served as the City’s associate city planner since January 2017.
“In David’s time here, we’ve seen tremendous successes in the programs he has developed for guiding the growth of our City, both in the short- and long-term,” Development Services Director Jim Cadoret said. “I’m confident that David’s planning experience will help us achieve our goals to create a healthy and sustainable economy, expand our commercial tax base and bring workforce opportunities to Raymore.”
Gress’s accomplishments with the City of Raymore include developing the City’s Communities for All Ages Master Plan, securing a Gold Level Designation from Mid-America Regional Council’s (MARC) KC Communities for All Ages Program, securing Raymore’s Gold Level Recognition as a SolSmart solar-friendly community, securing various grants to support the implementation of pedestrian safety enhancements and participation with the MARC Solid Waste Management District Board.
“In my previous role as city planner, I was able to build a tremendous foundation of knowledge, relationships, and understanding of the City – and its residents,” Gress said. “I am excited to see how I can use that foundation to further the goals of the City in building a strong economy and local workforce, and revealing the economic potential that exists within our community.”
