Changes in tap water taste due to seasonal rains, runoff

Post Date:03/19/2019 12:59 PM

RAYMORE, MO - Some residents may notice a change in the taste and smell of their drinking water off and on this spring, but those changes will not affect water quality and safety. water-faucet-th

The City of Raymore purchases water from KC Water. Seasonal changes, such as snow melt, heavy rains and the extensive flooding to our north can change the characteristics of the water in the Missouri River, which is the source of Raymore’s drinking water.

KC Water continues to constantly monitor and test their water supply to ensure that safe drinking water is always delivered to customers throughout the Kansas City area.

Visit KC Water’s website for more information on the tap water taste and odor changes.
