RAYMORE, MO - The City has entered into an agreement with OATS Transit to offer free transportation services to residents of Raymore who are disabled and/or 60 or older beginning Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2019.  oats-th

City Council unanimously approved the second reading of a budgeted amount of $19,440 for the OATS Transit services for three years at Monday’s City Council meeting.

Transportation services for shopping will be provided every third Wednesday of each month and any fifth Wednesday of the month. Transportation services will also be provided on the third Thursday of each month for non-emergency medical and dental appointments within 20 miles of the City.

“We’re thrilled to offer this great service for our residents who truly need it,” Assistant City Manager Mike Ekey said.

Currently, residents can use OATS Transit services through funding from other sources three days a month– covering three weeks of each month. This agreement will allow for the transportation service to be provided at least one day a week every week of the month, with an additional day for non-emergency medical and dental appointments.

Residents may learn more information or schedule a ride by calling 816-380-7433 or 1-800-480-6287 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. Reservations are accepted on a space-available basis and must be made 24 hours in advance.
