RPR Recreation Soccer League
Ray-Pec Soccer Club and Raymore Parks and Rec joining forces to provide leagues for all levels of soccer
The youth soccer programming offered to youth in Raymore and Peculiar will be undergoing some changes this fall. The Raymore Parks and Recreation Department and the Ray-Pec Soccer Club have decided to partner to bring the best possible soccer programming to Raymore and Peculiar. The Ray-Pec Soccer Club (RPSC) will be offering competitive soccer team sign-ups and their competitive Elite program. The Raymore Parks and Recreation Department will offer all recreational soccer programming for boys and girls from age 4 through 13 years.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why is this change occurring?
The Ray-Pec Soccer Club Board and Raymore Parks and Recreation desire to make available the best possible soccer programming for both competitive and recreational players. Both entities believe that a partnership will best serve the needs of the community.
Where do I go for competitive sign-ups?
Teams and individuals interested in competitive play will contact the RPSC Board members via the Web at www.raypecsoccer.com.
Where do I go for recreational sign-ups?
Individuals interested in playing recreational soccer should register through Raymore Parks and Recreation through July 29, 2011. Forms are available through the link at the bottom of the page. Online registration is coming to the City, but will not be available for this first season’s sign-up.
Where will my child play his games?
Despite the change in registration, all games will continue to be played as in past seasons. Recreational divisions will play in Recreation Park. Competitive teams will play four games – or half their season – at Rec Park, and will travel to other cities for the remainder.
What else will change?
Not much. The competitive leagues will operate exactly as they have in years past. Simply put, it is the City’s intent to keep the recreational soccer program as similar to the format players are accustomed to as possible.
