Raymore Communications Center

The Communications Division of the Raymore Police Department is open and staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It serves as the communication link between the citizens and the police and fire departments.


The Communications Division handles calls and other business for the following entities:
  • Raymore Police Department
  • Peculiar Police Department
  • South Metropolitan Fire Protection District

Tasks

  • Answering emergency (9-1-1) telephone calls
  • Answering non-emergency telephone calls
  • Dispatching the police and fire departments to locations of calls
  • Providing emergency medical advice to callers while waiting for first responders to arrive on scene
  • Entering and inquiring of wanted subjects, vehicles, articles, missing persons, and juveniles into the ALERT / MULES / NCIC computer systems
  • Maintaining and confirming warrants, missing person entries, lost / stolen articles, and juveniles
  • Broadcasting of pertinent information provided by surrounding agencies
  • Notifying appropriate personnel in emergency situations
  • Directing first contact with persons entering the Police Department
  • Monitoring Police and City Hall facilities via surveillance cameras
