Monthly Youth Art Club

Kids 8-12 only for this special art club. Each month we will work on special projects selected by the kids themselves. Bring art work to share with your peers. Work on your own or collaboratively with others on special projects. This is your club! You get to decide what to do.

All meetings will be held from 4:30 - 6 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Park House, 909 S. Madison.

Family Arts Days 

Join artist Heather Gambrell for these monthly, family-friendly events where you and your kids can create amazing artwork using a variety of mediums. Learn more about what each month’s new art project will include. All classes will be held at the Park House, 909 S. Madison.

February Family Art Day: Handmade Crafts

Make someone special a handmade Valentine Card. We will be using various techniques including printmaking, collage and watercolors to make unique, one-of-a-kind cards. We will also be making cards to give to some of our special senior citizens to brighten their day. This all-ages class is sure to please the whole family. Materials provided. March Family Art Day: Zentangle Art

Join Sharon Parys, local artist and Chair of the Raymore Arts Commission, for this popular art trend seen in many adult coloring books. This art day will provide a creative way to express your inner talent. Students may select a basic template provided, or create one of their own, then draw in various Zentangle patterns to color using a variety of supplies. Materials provided.

April Family Art Day: Let’s Play Drums!

Join local art teacher Beth Ivers for this fun class. Percussion instruments are for everyone!  Each participant will have the opportunity to play various percussion instruments from all over the world in an energetic, hands-on experience for all ages.  We’ll learn how to play our parts, how to listen to each other and how to make music together.  No experience necessary!
