Current Development Projects

Listed below are projects currently under review or recently approved by the City.

Heritage Hills Rezoning

Sean Siebert, representing Ct Midland LLC, is requesting to reclassify the zoning of Heritage Hills Lots 158 thru 175 from "R-1" Single Family Residential District to "R-2" Single and Two Family Residential District.  The property is located on the south side of Pine Street, east of Madison Street.  The Planning and Zoning Commission will consider the request at its  August 15 meeting.

 

Discover Vision Center

Discover Vision Center filed a request for site plan approval to locate a facility at 1018 W. Foxwood Drive.  The Planning and Zoning Commission approved the site plan at its July 18 meeting.

 

 

 Raymore Storage Center

Todd Glidewell is requesting site plan approval for the Raymore Storage Center proposed for 308 E. Walnut Street.  At its August 1 meeting the Planning and Zoning Commission continued the case to the August 15 meeting for further consideration.

 

Cunningham at Creekmoor Second Plat

Cooper Land Development Inc. filed an application for final plat approval for Cunningham at Creekmoor Second Plat, a 36-lot single-family subdivision proposed for the southwest corner of 155th Street and North Madison Street.  The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the request.  City Council approved the request on 2nd reading at its July 10, 2017 meeting.

 

Raymore Activity Center Site Plan, Recreation Park

    Recreation Activity Center

City staff is requesting site plan approval for the 16,000 square foot activity center proposed for the northwest corner of Recreation Park.  The Planning and Zoning Commission approved the request at its Tuesday, November 15, 2016 meeting.

 

Building and Development Code Changes Recently Approved/Under Review

Unified Development Code 25th Amendment

The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the 25th amendment to the Unified Development Code on July 18.  The amendment is a compendium of several changes suggested as part of the annual review of the UDC held in June.  City Council approved the amendment on 1st reading at its August 14, 2017 meeting.  2nd reading is scheduled for August 28, 2017.

 

Building Code Amendment

City staff is requesting to add the following language to Section 500.090A of the Building Code:

"No building permit shall be issued to a person, firm or corporation that is delinquent on payment of fees and charges due to the City for any property in the City.  Additionally, if a fee or charge is due to the City for service to, or work upon, the property for which a building permit is requested, no permit shall be issued until full payment is received."

City Council approved the request on 2nd reading at its July 10, 2017 meeting.
