RAYMORE RECEIVES DISTINGUISHED BUDGET PRESENTATION AWARD FOR 14TH CONSECUTIVE YEAR
RAYMORE, MO - The Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) has awarded the City of Raymore’s Finance Department the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for its annual budget.
This award represents a significant achievement by the City Council and staff in meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. The City has received this award each year since 2004.
“Our budget is more than just a financial document,” City Manager Jim Feuerborn said. “It serves as a road map for all of the projects and initiatives that our City will undertake in the next year and ensures we are being transparent and accountable to our residents.”
The City’s budget satisfied nationally recognized guidelines designed to assess how well the budget serves as: a policy document; a financial plan; an operations guide; and a communications device.
The budget was rated “proficient” in all four categories and in fourteen mandatory criteria within those categories.
