MOODY'S ASSIGNS AA2 CREDIT RATING TO CITY OF RAYMORE
The City of Raymore is proud to announce that Moody’s Investors Service has rated Raymore’s credit position as very strong with an Aa2 rating that slightly exceeds the median rating for Aa3 cities nationwide.
Moody’s Investors Service researches and provides ratings on financial positions of commercial and government entities in 42 countries. A positive rating, like the one Raymore received from Moody’s, is a reflection of the careful financial planning and transparency used by City staff in the past fiscal year.
“I believe this strong credit rating shows the carefulness of our City Council and City Manager in managing the tax money we receive, as well as the trust and confidence of our residents as our community continues to grow,” Mayor Kris Turnbow said.
The report reads in part that “Raymore has a very healthy financial position, which is relatively favorable with respect to the assigned rating of Aa2.”
