New Art on Display at City Council Gallery Space
The Raymore Arts Commission is proud to display original paintings from local artists Carolyn Hughlett and Sandy Braga in the City Council gallery space at City Hall.
Carolyn Hughlett has been a professional artist and teacher in the area for 47 years, working in several different mediums including ink, watercolors, enamels, china paints and fabric art incorporating inks, dyes and soft and oil pastels. Hughlett has shown her work in multiple local and out-of-town art shows, has been published in Unity Magazine and has had her custom tile art displayed in homes on the Parade of Homes tour.
Sandy Braga is the President of the Tri-County Art League and is also a member of Summit Art and the Harrisonville Fine Arts Association. She enjoys sketching and painting on-site with other artists with Art Mob and Urban Sketchers in Kansas City. Braga also draws inspiration from what she sees in nature every day at her family farm east of Raymore.
Art pieces and biographies for Hughlett and Braga will be on display in the City Council gallery space through March. Many of the pieces are available to purchase.
The Council Chamber gallery is an on-going project through the Raymore Arts Commission to highlight local artists and their work.
