Information For Donating At Shelter: Physical donations may be dropped off in the large green donation bin located outside the front door of the Animal Control Facility. For large or bulk donations, please call 816-892-3053 to schedule a drop-off time with staff. If we are unable to answer immediately, please leave a voicemail, and we will return your call promptly. We are unable to accept cash donations at the Animal Control Facility.

Barn Cat Program: If you wish to donate directly to support Raymore Animal Control's barn cat program, please specify that in the "reason for donation" section when making your donation through the Raymore Community Foundation. Raymore Animal Control’s Barn Cat Program offers a life-saving alternative for semi-feral and unsocialized outdoor cats that cannot be placed in traditional homes. Stray feral cats brought to the shelter are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before being adopted out as working cats to local farms, barns, workshops and outbuildings at no cost. This program provides property owners with free, natural rodent control while giving working cats a safe outdoor environment where they can thrive.
The City no longer requires city pet licenses, however it is absolutely necessary that your pet's rabies vaccination is up-to-date. Pets should receive a rabies vaccination and certificate from your veterinarian on an annual basis.

If you have lost your pet, please contact Raymore Animal Control at 816-892-3053. If there is no answer, please leave a message with your name, address, phone number, and a description of the pet.

If you see a stray animal running at large in the city limits of Raymore, please immediately contact Police Dispatch at 816-331-0530. Raymore Animal Control only responds to stray animals and calls for service within Raymore city limits. If the animal is found outside of city limits, it must be reported to the local law enforcement agency in that area. We are unable to accept animals from outside our jurisdiction.

There may be many reasons to surrender a pet and making the decision to rehome a pet can be difficult. Given our limited kennel space, we are unable to accept owner-surrendered animals. However, we have created a list of resources that may be able to help.
